Matthew Street Festival ‘09 – Day 2

Of all the photos I took this weekend, this has to be my favourite. I like the fact that the music and atmosphere of the moment moved these two hands into the air together for everyone to see.

New lens 18-200mm

So I made it a week writing a post each day (yey me) so I decided I should buy myself a present as a means of congratulations (like I need an excuse) so I just picked up a brand new Tamron 18-200mm lens. It’s a beast! (see my last post which was one of the first shots I took with it)

Previously I just had the stock Canon 18-55mm as my primary wide angle lens. After getting this lens and being able to get such a range of focal length in one lens is just awesome! I’ll still be using my 70-300mm for certain shots / scenarios (wildlife etc), but this is my new primary lens from here on out. I’ve also been debating getting a Canon 50D but right now I can’t afford it, and I’m also going to wait until they bring out a **D with HD video as a feature. That’ll be a knock-out camera I would imagine.
