"Bonjour", I have been saying that quite alot recently, I think it goes back to my Xbox days because Jim and Duce said it loads. So, bonjour.

This is just a quick update because I'm sahttered (yes "sahttered", it's a new word… ok) and I haven't been into work early for ages. This Sunday I am to be jetting off to the Alps for a week snowboading, now, this was somewhat unexpected! Apparently my dad told me six months ago he'd booked next week to go snowboarding, now either I wasn't paying attention or just didn't remember because last week my dad was saying to me in the car "so we're flying out at 10am and if we're quick we might catch some slope time in the afternoon". ERRM, pardon? I completely didn't know and was very pleasantly surprised to find out we were going. Sweeeeet!

Aaaaalso, I've signed up to do a course in Hopi Candles with Klara, the problem being that the first class is the week that I'm away boarding. No great shakes really because the tutor was just going to do a demonstration etc in the first lesson anyway. Some of you might be thinking, wtf are Hopi Candles, well, click on the link and you'll see. But some may be thinking, why the hell would I want to do a course in that?? Well, I'm actually quite into alternative therapies and I believe very strongly in the notion that our bodies are far more meaningful than just flesh and blood, the energy within and surrounding everyone's body has amazing power. You probably just don't know it yet.

Stuff is happening at work, pretty crazy stuff. A new woman just started and cut it short, she's a bitch. Now, I don't use that word lightly, as most people (hopefully) will know, I'm an easy going guy and I'm pretty easy to get along with. I can handle a lot of shit if needs be but this woman, takes the biscuit.
She started pre-Christmas doing the same job as the missus, they were on the same level management and reponsibility wise, her contract was for two months and after that period the job would be advertised and the new woman would have to re-apply to keep the position. Turns out that after the two months they did advertise the job, only it wasn't the same job. Instead they changed the title and description to a completely different job and subtlely put it up in the staff room. The new job was for a Sales Supervisor as opposed to the previous job title of Senior Sales Advisor, the new job was now in a position above the missus. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not exactly the most un-biased person to be commenting on this due to my relationship with the missus, but it's pretty clear to alot of people at work that this was a sly move on the part of the retail manager. It appears to alot of people that this "new" job was created with the new woman particularly in mind.

So this new woman adopts this new role and immediately gets ahead of herself proclaiming that she's now the retail manager for gifts (the same dept as the missus), errr "retail manager", methinks not missy. Then she starts barking orders at the gift staff and talks to them like they're stupid and don't have a clue about their job, when in fact it's actually her who hasn't got a clue. For example, she came up to the office one day last week demanding to know what the situation was on one order which (she thought) was due to be goods received in the next few days. The stock information had all been loaded, the order had been inputted and labels were done, in fact, the order had come into stores a few days prior and was now sitting on the shop floor being sold as we were speaking. If there was one tip I could give her it'd be to get to know which is her arse and which is her elbow because she's sure as hell doesn't know.

Oh yeah, and this is all while three of the directors of the business were away on holiday. One of the directors is in charge of buying for the gifts department and explicitly told the new woman not to move anything on her desk while she was away. The week before the director comes back this new woman decided to completely clear her desk which has(d) orders, order confirmations, catalogues, meeting notes, while-you-were-out messages etc on it. This director has a messy desk at the best of times, as do I, so i'm not at all criticising and likes to know where things are on that desk (even though they invariably don't and orders constantly go missing which makes mine and two other colleagues jobs very difficult). So… I'm looking forward to the rest of this week to see the reaction. I might take some popcorn in and a deck chair and watch it unfold (the ensuing situation, not the deckchair). I just had an image in my mind of the two of them in a physical fight.
HAHAHAH! Oh that brought a to my face!

So, the missus has requested a transfer of department because this woman is impossible to work with (believe me, every other person in that department has now got low morale because of her and while I can't speak for them, I think alot of them are now thinking about leaving).

I'm such a strong believer in karma, and I know to the core of my being that something bad is going to happen to her, people with attitudes to other human beings like hers always get karma come around and fuck them right up, then they don't even understand why. I find it's SO much easier to be nice to people than it is to be nasty. Shame other people don't have that idea.

This was meant to be a short entry DAMMIT! Oh well, I'll probably see you on the other side of my holiday. I hope everyone reading this smiles NOW and has a good feeling towards themselves and every other human on this planet. Come on guys! Let's raise the conciousness of humanity a little bit!
